{"id":436,"date":"2020-03-06T14:08:53","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T19:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stroke.devel\/en\/glossary\/rasch-analysis\/"},"modified":"2020-03-06T14:08:53","modified_gmt":"2020-03-06T19:08:53","slug":"rasch-analysis","status":"publish","type":"glossary","link":"https:\/\/strokengine.ca\/en\/glossary\/rasch-analysis\/","title":{"rendered":"Rasch analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rasch analysis is a statistical measurement method that allows\u00a0the measurement of an attribute &#8211; such as upper limb function &#8211; independently of particular tests or indices.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0It creates a linear representation\u00c2\u00a0using many individual items, ranked by\u00c2\u00a0item difficulty (e.g. picking up a very small item, versus a task requiring a very gross grasp) and person ability.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0A well performing Rasch model will have items hierarchically placed from simple to more difficult, and individuals with high abilities should be able to perform all the items below a level of difficulty.\u00c2\u00a0 The Rasch model is statistically strong because it enables ordinal measures to be converted into meaningful interval measures.
